Design of Spectral Line Agile Observation and Analysis Platform

The 40 m radio telescope of Yunnan Observatory is an important radio observation and research platform in China. The telescope will be retrofitted to cover the approximately 12 GHz observation band in the S-Ku band. The transformation of the C-band with multiple radio lines has been carried out. The development of efficient digital analysis terminals will help them to obtain higher quality observations in observation and science. The agile transceiver solution is an emerging receiver design solution in the field of software radio. The analog front-end circuit can change the local oscillator frequency and filter bandwidth under program control, and realize a high-Q programmable filter to select any narrow-band signal of 200KHz-56MHz in the 6GHz band. With the back-end down-conversion and acquisition and output circuits, this design is suitable for the refinement of narrow-band line observation in radio astronomy. The flexible local oscillator frequency adjustment provides the possibility for fast frequency switching calibration.
