摘要

•New spectral fitting (SF) approach to estimate electromechanical oscillation modes.•The approach combines the numerical Laplace transform with the VF method.•A participation factor is proposed to identify the dominant oscillatory modes.•The technique has the ability to carry out a complete modal parameter identification.•Test cases under noisy conditions and a small perturbation condition are presented.
