•The TBCA Nutrient Intake Evaluation Database (NIE-DB) includes data for 34 components.•The TBCA NIE-DB includes raw, cooked and manufactured foods, and composite dishes.•The NIE-DB presents standardized data about most national foods consumed in Brazil.•The TBCA NIE-DB is available online and includes over 3400 food entries.•The NIE-DB will allow evaluating the nutrient intake using Brazilian data.
