A Novel Wide-Band Low-Profile Waveguide Slot Antenna

In this paper, a novel wave-guide slot antenna is proposed. Compared with the conventional waveguide slot antenna, the antenna presented here has wider bandwidth, lower profile, and its structure and process are easier. Besides, the 2x2 and 2x4 array operating at Ku band are designed. The simulation results indicate that the bandwidth is more than 16% based on the VSWR <= 2 and efficiency >= 80%,and the radiation pattern is perfect. The antenna structure proposed in this paper has so many attractive features that it has a wide range of application s on equipments which require the antenna with a wide-band, high-gain and low-profile.
