Sodalite-type metal-organic zeolite with uncoordinated N-sites as potential anticancer drug 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) delivery platform

In this work, a SOD type metal-organic zeolite ZTIF-1 was used to entrap the anticancer drug 5-fluorouracil (5-FU). This material exhibited high capability for 5-FU with fast speed owing to its large surface area and uncoordinated N-heteroatom sites. These results suggest that ZTIF-1 could be a valuable platform for delivery of anti-cancer agents.
