Research on the Improving Lighting Protection Level for Strong Lightning Activity Area and Easily Suffering Lighting Strike Distribution Line

It is very important and necessary to carry out the research on improving the lighting protection level for the strong lighting area, especially for the distribution line. For this propose, the paper focus on studying the lighting protection level using arrester and grounding line with10kV distribution line. Take Qingyuan as an example, the characteristics of lighting activity is analyzed. The simulation model applying arrester and grounding line to protect 10kV distribution line is set up, respectively. And the protecting effect of the two method is compared. Besides, the economic efficiency is also studied. Based on the simulation and the economic analysis, a synthesis lighting protection measure is presented, which can greatly improve the lighting protection level of 10kV distribution line.
