摘要

•Magnetic vortex states in a CrO2 nanodisc is reported here for the first time.•Switching/reversing the core of the magnetic vortex states by using both DC and AC magnetic fields has been demonstrated.•Magnetic vortex characteristics of the CrO2 nanodisc are compared with that of a permalloy nanodisc having same dimensions.
