Stochastic mixing of bound thermal scattering data in MONK

•The stochastic mixing method has been implemented in MONK for temperature interpolation.•The method has been applied to bound thermal scattering data.•The method eliminates non-physical step changes seen in nearest temperature approach.•The nearest temperature method gives good results in thermal reactors.
