摘要
To the Editor: Acral lentiginous melanoma (ALM) is a variant of cutaneous malignant melanoma that develops on the acral surfaces of the body.1 It is the predominant type of melanoma in patients with darker skin and is associated with disproportionally high morbidity and mortality. Wide local excision (WLE) or Mohs micrographic surgery (MMS) may be performed as the primary surgical treatment and may be supplemented with lymph node evaluation. Although studies have examined the survival outcomes of individual treatments for ALM, a comparative review of these therapies has yet to be performed.
