Preparation of a stilbene diamido-bridged bis(β-cyclodextrin)-bonded chiral stationary phase for enantioseparations of drugs and pesticides by high performance liquid chromatography.

•A novel bridged β-CD CSP (SBCDP) was prepared for chiral HPLC with high selectivity.•23 chiral drugs were separated with baseline resolutions in multi-mode chromatography.•Unlike native CD, SBCDP formed a crab-like that can separate bulky drugs.•SBCDP can realize fast and efficient chiral analysis over a wide range of temperature.•SBCDP can simultaneously separate multiple pesticides, which is compatible with ESI-MS.
