摘要
This paper presents a novel UWB antenna design using Genetic Algorithms (GA). The new design is based on circular pixels to provide larger band response. In every iteration, the GA optimizes the surface of the patch by cutting away a random number of circular pixels, while maintaining the same compactness of the antenna. The proposed antenna operates in the frequency range of 3.2 GHz to 12.9 GHz and shows good results in terms of matching performance and gain.
