摘要
Massive incident response in health environments, usually overwhelms local and regional resources. Even in developed countries, growing evidence exists that the lack of organisation and service provision is one of the major issues in Emergency Departments (EDs). In such highly demanding environments, in the most cases, patients are not prioritised in an automated and intelligent way. Hence, critical time is spent in the preparation of processes rather in addressing ones. In this paper, we introduce the architecture of IntelTriage, which is a novel smart triage system that dynamically assigns priorities to patients in an ED and it monitors their vital signs and location during their stay in the clinic through wearable biosensors. The IntelTriage system simplifies the management, the diagnosis and the ongoing monitoring of the patients by reducing the amount of time spent in collecting, tracking and the validation effort required.
