Fabrication and OSL properties of Eu3+-doped NaCaPO4 glass-ceramics

•Eu3+-doped GC containing NaCaPO4 crystals were fabricated via melt-quenching route with further heat-treatment.•The NaCaPO4 GC exhibited high sensitivity to ionizing radiation, and a broad linear dose response range (0.02–1000 Gy).•The strongest emission peak was observed at a wavelength of 619 nm, which relates to the 5D0→7F2 transition of the Eu3+.•The CW-OSL intensity decays to 1/e of the peak value after 8 s of stimulation which is enough for real-time measurement.
