Determining the predictors for ease of sleep while on aircraft: Regression and qualitative analyses

•The current study identified factors which predict passenger sleep on aircraft.•A two-study approach with approximately 400 participants was used.•Five difference sleep related outcome variables were predicted.•The study built the regression equation and conducted model fit statistics.•Between 6.7% and 27.7% of the variance was explained by the models.
