Detection of significant SNP associated with production and oil quality traits in interspecific oil palm hybrids using RARSeq

•RARSeq based Association mapping within oil palm Eo x Eg hybrids and six production and 19 quality traits.•Phenotypic statistical analysis to determine the origin effect on the studied traits.•Genetic diversity analysis within the different origins of the palm accessions.•AM based on two GLM models using Q matrix (GLM_Q) or PCA matrix (GLM_PCA) and two MLM models adding in addition Kinship matrix (MLM_Q+K, MLM_PCA+K).•Associations between 25 SNP and 20 traits using unadjusted p values and associations between 8 SNP and 6 quality traits with FDR adjusted p values.
