Channel measurement and characterization for a complex industrial and office topology at 2.4 GHz

摘要
This work features a campaign of measurements in a complex office and industrial topology for the 2.4 GHz. An operating 802.11g network is studied and the impact of the intrinsic topology characteristics featuring a variety of obstacles, materials, walls and floors on signal propagation is examined. Path loss models are validated via channel characterization and the large-scale fading is investigated. Results further enhance the ongoing research for the 2.4 GHz channel as a stand-alone band of interest but also as a key contributor to the emerging 5G sub-6 GHz technology.
