The critical sticking velocity of non-spherical graphite particles: A numerical study and validation
Nuclear Engineering and Design(2020)
摘要
•Micro-sized disk-like graphite particle–wall collision is simulated using FEM model.•Both surface adhesion and energy dissipation are incorporated in simulations.•Surface adhesion indirectly contributes to energy loss by increasing strain rate.•Critical sticking velocity increases with decrease of particle size and aspect ratio.•A correlation for the critical sticking velocity of disk-like particles is proposed.
