摘要

•Cellular uptake of CdO NPs was detected using TEM coupled with EDS.•CdO NPs were cytotoxic and genotoxic in mammalian cells.•CdO NPs decreased cell viability and ATP contents and increased LDH leakage.•CdO NPs induced DNA damage and chromosomal breaks in TK6 cells.•CdO NPs induced mutations in mouse lymphoma cells.
