Beam-Tilt Compact Horn Antennas Loading A Half-Cylindrical Conductor

This paper presents a beam-tilt compact horn antenna loading a half-cylindrical conductor for obtaining large beam tilt. The proposed antenna can tilt the radiated beam to direction of 30 degrees by using the same diameter 18mm (3 lambda/2) with the previously-developed antenna with 20-degree beam-tilt at 24GHz. Usefulness of the proposed antenna is verified numerically and experimentally.
