Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: Maximizing Surgical Intervention at the Time of Living Donor Renal Transplantation.

•The coupling of panniculectomy with other intra-abdominal operations such as renal transplant, gynecologic surgery, and hernia repair have been well described with favorable outcomes.•We conducted a retrospective review of patients who underwent living donor renal transplant, panniculectomy, and at least 1 additional concurrent abdominal or pelvic surgery.•Rates of wound complications and readmission were comparable with rates of postoperative adverse events of panniculectomy alone.•Patients experienced immediate and long-term renal graft function.•Combination of multiple surgical procedures with living donor renal transplant is a possible treatment option in high-risk obese patients in need of multiple operations.
