Deployment of multiple shattered pellet injection systems in KSTAR

•Shattered pellet injection (SPI) is of the most attractive way to mitigate the plasma disruption.•ITER has decided to adopt this technology for the DMS (disruption mitigation system) for PFPO-1.•KSTAR will become a first test bed for symmetric multiple injections using two identical injectors provided by ORNL.•The single SPI experiments are planned at November and multiple SPIs experiments will be started at the end of 2019.
