An Overview Of Security Issues In Fog Computing

Cloud computing proved to be the most useful computing paradigm in today's world. Not only has it allowed enterprises to process and store their business logic or data economically viable and computationally feasible, but it has also helped in enhancing their product security and in creating a centralized repository. But cloud computing faces a very serious issue i.e. it is located far away from the data generating devices or system which could allow data modification or loss. Fog computing was introduced due to the very reason. Even though the term is new, but a lot of research is ongoing which proves its need and viability. In this paper, we will give a brief introduction followed by the Fog computing needs, its usage scenarios, its applications and then security issues related to fog will be discussed. At last, our contribution in this paper, some of the recent research works in fog security, comparison of surveys focusing on security algorithms and distributed architecture will be mentioned and then summed up with a conclusion.
