摘要
•Thermal design of dual circulating fluidized bed reactor is investigated to capture efficiently a large amount of CO2.•Bed-to-wall heat transfer coefficient decreases sharply depending on reactor diameter.•Required reactor height exceeds 100 m in a pilot-scale single-tube reactor.•The design of multi-tube reactor leads to an energy-saving system for CO2 capture.
