Cannabidiol for the treatment of psychosis among patients with schizophrenia and other primary psychotic disorders: A systematic review with a risk of bias assessment

•The systematic review assesses cannabidiol treatment in patients with schizophrenia.•Clinical studies have tested potential antipsychotic properties of cannabidiol.•Eight studies were included, with heterogeneous interventions and designs.•Data extracted on psychiatric symptomatology, cognition and functioning outcomes.•Results were mixed or insufficient to confirm cannabidiol efficacy for psychosis.
