Analysis of Multi-Operator Resource Sharing

In this paper, we propose a Multi-Operators resource allocation scheme, where the available bandwidth of the Heterogenous Cloud RAN (H-CRAN) is shared among different Virtual Mobile Network Operators (VMNOs), according to static, as well as adaptive sharing. We evaluate the performance of the two schemes, in terms of average spectrum utilization efficiency, user satisfaction metrics and average throughput. Results show that adaptive sharing brings a considerable gain of performance, with respect to these performance evaluation metrics compared to static sharing. Particularly with adaptive sharing, the tradeoff and the interest of keeping spectrum utilization and user satisfactions metrics jointly high can be achieved for a wider interval of user's density variations, and the gain of average throughput would be achieved if the network presents some low load VMNOs.
