摘要

•Cardio-ankle vascular index (CAVI) indicates arterial stiffness.•Patients hospitalized with heart failure with preserved left ventricular ejection fraction (HFpEF) showed high values of CAVI.•High value of CAVI was associated with hospitalization of HFpEF patients.•It remains unknown whether modulating CAVI prevents the development of HFpEF.
