摘要
•Nero Siciliano is an autochthonous pig genetic resource reared in Sicily (Italy).•Animals of this breed are completely black, few pigs have white patterns.•Genome-wide association and FST analyzes were carried out in this breed for coat colour patterns.•A significant marker (rs81329493), confirmed in the FST analysis, was identified on porcine chromosome 2.•This marker is located on a quantitative trait locus for coat colour in pigs and close to a few candidate genes.
