Three mixed ligand mononuclear Zn(II) complexes of 4-acyl pyrazolones: Synthesis, characterization, crystal study and anti-malarial activity

Three novel mixed ligand zinc(II) complexes, [Zn(HL1)2(bpy)] (1), [Zn(HL2)2(bpy)] (2) and [Zn(HL2)2(phen)] (3), have been synthesized. The ligands and the complexes have been well characterized by 1H and 13C NMR, FTIR, X-ray crystallography and UV/Vis spectroscopic techniques. The ligands and the complexes have been screened for antimalarial activity against plasmodium falciparum.
