Flow-cytometric assessment of T cell response to monitor immunosuppression

Our preliminary results show that flow-cytometric assessment of T cell proliferation shows clear differences between those transplanted and healthy controls, while analyses of cytokine production showed no clear differences, suggesting that our method will be a useful tool in our study comparing modes of immunosuppression and relationship to clinical outcomes. Our study suggests that in vitro assessments of T cell response may be useful for improving tailored immunosuppression after LTx.
