摘要

•SnS and SnS2 powders were obtained in ultrasound assisted synthesis.•Estimated energy bandgap for synthesized SnS is 1.7 eV, while for SnS2 is 2.3 eV.•They were used in preparation of cathodes for the electro-Fenton process.•SnS-coated copper cathode showed enhanced degradation efficiency.
