Laparoscopic Vaginal Suspension And Rectopexy For Rectal Prolapse - A Video Vignette
COLORECTAL DISEASE(2020)
摘要
Laparoscopic procedures for the treatment of rectal prolapse (RP) have gained increasing worldwide acceptance with their lower recurrence rates and better functional outcomes than perineal procedures. Nevertheless, the ideal surgical technique is still controversial. Laparoscopic ventral rectopexy is a successful nerve-sparing technique for the treatment of RP. In the current video, a procedure of laparoscopic vaginal suspension and rectopexy for RP is presented. The patient, a 37 year-old female, who was admitted via our outpatient clinic with the complaint of a long-standing bowel prolapse requiring manual reduction after every defecation for the last one year. On physical examination, the anal tone was normal and an Oxford Grade V RP was detected. A moderate rectocele was also detected on gynecological examination. Colonoscopic examination was unremarkable. Magnetic resonance defecography revealed oedema in the sigmoid colon and rectum, moderate rectal descent, pelvic floor dysfunction and dyssynergic daefecation.
