Consistent Dynamic Map Labeling with Fairness and Importance

•We advance the research on active range optimization problem in dynamic map labeling and propose the first study considering both fairness and importance.•We propose fast and optimal algorithms for the novel problem of maximizing minimum weighted active range (MMWAR).•We present an Integer Linear Programming (ILP) formulation for computing the optimal solutions for several variants of the MMWAR problem.•We evaluate the performance of our proposed algorithms on real world dataset experimentally.
