摘要
Autocorrelation function (ACF) of a modulated signal is associated with range side lobes along with the main lobe. These side lobes are unwanted outputs from the pulse compression filter and their amplitude depends upon the type of modulated signal used and may detect the false target. Hence, these side lobes affect the performance of the detection system. In this paper, peak side lobe ratio is determined for Linear Frequency Modulation (LFM), Non Linear Frequency Modulation (NLFM) and Phase Modulation (PM) signals. Linear Frequency Modulated, Non Linear Frequency Modulated and Phase Modulated signals are generated by using MAT lab and simulation is done using verilog HDL. MAT lab results and verilog results are compared and presented in this work.
