摘要
The non-destructive testing using infrared thermography can be classified into passive a nd active methods. In this study, inspection for defects of test material was conduc ted by chemical exothermic of active infrared thermography methods. This is used for infrar ed thermography using infrared thermography inspection equipment. This study used for heating generated by rea ction of quicklime(O3Ca) and water for detection of wall thinning defects of SM 20C material. The infrared thermography inspection using light source and phase lock in method of active inf rared thermography methods is the most widely used. But heating by lamp can not detect he defects located in deep inside of test ma terial. To solve this problem, this study conducted infrared thermography using chemical exothermic to detect defects located in deeper than detectable depth by light -infrared thermography. The defects of 10 mm thickness wall thinning specimen made by SM 2 0C material were detected 20 % compared to the thickness of defects.
