Thio linkage between CdS quantum dots and UiO-66-type MOFs as an effective transfer bridge of charge carriers boosting visible-light-driven photocatalytic hydrogen production

摘要
•A novel support based on CdS quantum dots was proposed for UiO66-(SH)2-CdS hybrids.•CdS quantum dots were connected to the UiO-66-(SH)2 by thiol group.•The as-prepared UiO-66-(SH)2-CdS0.7 showed superior photocatalytic performance for H2 evolution.•UiO66-(SH)2-CdS hybrids exhibit high stability and reusability during the catalytic reaction.•Efficient charge separation and transfer were observed in the composites.
