Sharpness in motion corrected quantitative imaging at 7T

•Sharpness quantification of R1,R2* and QSM in 7T quantitative imaging.•Sharpness measurement at sub-voxel resolution in locally homogeneous clusters.•Motion correction using 3D fat-excited EPI navigators.•Image sharpness improvement in voxel volume by a factor 2.0 from 0.88 to 0.70 mm3.•Sharpness improvement correlated linearly with the extent of motion•Image sharpness improved over the entire age range of 21–81 years.
