摘要
•Application of citrate-modified CuFeS2 material as a potential photo-Fenton catalyst.•Addition of citric acid on the CuFeS2 synthesis accelerates the reduction of Fe3+ to Fe2+ during the photo-Fenton reaction.•The regeneration of Fe2+ promoted a faster production of OH radicals.•CuFeS2 exhibited remarkable degradation efficiency of bisphenol A under visible light and near-neutral pH.
