The invention discloses an equipment fault component troubleshooting method and system. The method comprises the following steps: obtaining component state abnormity data and equipment fault maintenance data; establishing a fault-component-sensor Bayesian belief network model; according to the fault-component-sensor Bayesian belief network model, calculating probability of actual abnormity of each component when each sensor connected with each component detects that the component is abnormal; ranking the probabilities from big to small in sequence to obtain ranked probabilities of actual abnormity of the components; and ranking the components according to the sequence of the probabilities of actual abnormity of the components, the component ranking the top being the component to be subjected to troubleshooting in priority. According to the method and system, the fault-component-sensor relationship can be established systematically, and the component which is most likely to fail when equipment fault occurs can be obtained quickly according to the relationship, thereby avoiding manual and subjective troubleshooting and improving equipment fault component troubleshooting efficiency.
