Research on chaos amplification effect in emergency supply chain system

To investigate whether existing chaotic phenomena in dynamic changing process of different levels inventory in emergency supply chain systems, the dynamic mathematic model of inventory in a simple emergency supply chain which only includes a factory and a transshipment center is formulated in this paper. Under the precondition of disaster area's demand information sharing between factory and transshipment center, the chaotic behaviors of dynamic inventory changing of different levels system in the emergency supply chain, because of transport delay, is studied completely. Numerical simulation shows that there is chaos amplification effect in the emergency supply chain system, meanwhile, the factory's inventory puts up more chaotic than transshipment center's. When adding transport delay time, the chaos degree of different levels inventory are decreasing gradually.
