Acute bronchiolitis is a common global lower respiratory disease that can cause bronchiole restrictions and respiratory distress in infants. A Finnish study found that 37 per 1,000 infants attended emergency departments each year because of bronchiolitis, and 70% were hospitalised (1). Predicting of length of stay (LOS) could safely reduce hospitalization and enable early interventions.
