ALUMINUM DETERMINATION IN BIOLOGICAL-FLUIDS BY A SIMPLE TECHNIQUE USING INDUCTIVELY-COUPLED PLASMA SPECTROMETRY

A simple and rapid method for aluminium determination in blood using ICP spectrometry is described. This method can be easily applied to various biological media (serum, urine, tissues, etc) and nutrition parental solutions can be analysed as well. A simple 1/5 dilution ratio is used for serum. Detection limit (0.12 mu mol/l of pure serum), reproductibility and accuracy of this technique allow a routine determination of aluminium at the physiological and pathological range combined with some advantages of atomic absorption spectrometry.
