Numerical modeling of water–heat–vapor–salt transport in unsaturated soil under evaporation

•The extended water flux is obtained by introducing the film water and surface tension.•The transport parameters are obtained by considering the filling effect of salt.•The thermos-physical properties of salt is considered in heat conservation equation.•A modified and developed water–heat–vapor–salt transport model is proposed.
