The Effects of Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) on Rumination in Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is an established treatment for MDD. Rumination is a debilitating feature of MDD characterized by negative self-focused thought and difficulty re-orienting attention to external information. We examined the effects of rTMS on rumination in MDD, and the association with changes in functional networks relevant to reorienting attention.
