Ligand Effect On Geometry And Electronic Structures Of Face-Centered Cubic Ag-14 And Ag-23 Nanoclusters

摘要
Herein, a novel Ag-14(PET)(12)(PPh3)(8) (PET = phenylethylthiolate) nanocluster was prepared and structurally elucidated by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, mass spectrometry, and so forth. This Ag-14 nanocluster and our recently prepared Ag-23(SC6H44-OMe)(18)(PPh3)(8) constitute a comparable system with the reported Ag-14(SC6H33, 4- F-2)(12)( PPh3)(8) and Ag-23(PET)(18)(PPh3)(8). Interesting ligand effects on the core-shell size and optical absorption curves (especially on the absorption intensity) were reported.
