摘要

•A BODIPY-based fluorescent probe for chiral amino acid of d-glutamic acid was developed.•The probe displays good selectivity for d-glutamic acid and its fluorescence enhance about 5 folds with good linear trend.•The probe realized the application in living cells for chiral amino acids.
