Crystal structures and Full Interaction Maps of proton transfer coordination compounds, templated via Schiff base hydrolysis in situ

Proton transfer compounds has been isolated as anionic coordination complexes co-crystallized with ethylenediammonium provided from imine hydrolysis in situ. Through the synthetic methodology adopted, novel crystal structures has been obtained, including a 1D coordination network forming loops and the first binary Metal-Ligand complex, based on Mn2+ and 2,5-pyridinedicarboxylate, with the 1:3 stoichiometry. The supramolecular analysis of coordination compounds using Full Interaction Maps still scarce in the literature and were used as support to assessment of geometric parameters for hydrogen bonds in this work.
