Experimental investigations on elastic and radiation shielding parameters of WO3-B2O3-TeO2 glasses

•Seven glasses based on xWO3-70TeO2–(30-x)B2O3 (x = 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 mol%) glass system were prepared.•Obtained radiation shielding results have been calculated with XCOM program.•Mechanical properties were determined.•xWO3-70TeO2–(30-x)B2O3, where (X = 30), has superior material properties.
