摘要
•Fatty acid alkyl esters are promising bio based phase change materials.•Coaxial electrospinning is a convenient technique for FAAE nanoweb production.•Methyl Palmitate nanowebs absorb 71 ‒ 86 J g−1 energy between 28 and 32 °C.•Isopropyl Palmitate nanowebs absorb 60 ‒ 72 J g−1 energy between 7 and 15 °C.•The nanowebs have potential as temperature sensitive materials.
