摘要
•Fe single-atom catalyst was synthesized by a facile complex-sequestered strategy.•Fe single atoms are dispersed on nitrogen-doped porous carbon derived from agarose.•The catalyst exhibits good oxygen reduction reaction activities in a broad pH-range.•Theoretical calculation was done to elucidate the origin of the excellent property.•The improved electron transfer from Fe atom to adsorbed *OH may be the key factor.
