3D tolerance analysis of the 1/32 CFETR vacuum vessel

•A 1/32 vacuum vessel model consisting of four sub part-segments was established for tolerance analysis.•The theoretical basis for tolerance analysis has been given and two analyzing methods were proposed.•Sensitivity and contribution results by the worst-case method and statistical method have been obtained and analyzed.•Through adjusting dimension tolerance, the requirement that the target dimension tolerance of 280 mm ± 2.5 mm was achieved.
